DESIGNING THE ROLE OF THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS AT THE NEW UNIVERSITY IN SHAPING THE STUDENT ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONS

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design the role of Faculty of Economics and Business at the new university in shaping the student entrepreneurial intentions. In addition, this research will assist in evaluating lecturers, teaching materials, facilities, and entrepreneurship methods that provided to students. Faculty of Economics and Business in the object of this research is a faculty under the new university established for 2 years. Faculty of Economics and Business is expected to produce young entrepreneurs. Therefore, the role of the Faculty of Economics and Business reflected by the lecturers, the teaching material, the learning facilities, and the concept of learning should be able to shape student entrepreneurial intentions. To achieve the purpose, this study used more qualitative approach and supported by article review. Qualitative methodology used in this research is in-depth interview to get the data and deeper understanding. The result of this research is by designing good entrepreneurship methods and teaching materials, Faculty of Economics and Business can form student entrepreneurial intention. However there is an evaluation that classroom teaching methods should be accompanied by field practice and discussion of real cases.
