Abstract

Documentary Photography as a Discipline

When we look at the development of the past to the present and to record the photograph to document every time we see the ambition. This has been beginning with portraits. So it would not be wrong to say that the portraits are documents of the first registered. The development of technology and the arrival of compact construction machines, together with documentation demonstrating the specific request of the spaces outside. This means not only portrait, humanity, humanity, nature, life, cities, joys, sorrows, and even war began to be recorded and photographed with the great efforts of the photographer.

Continuing for a long time in Europe and America and is sited on a certain philosophy of documentary photography in our country is rather new. Therefore are floundering in the confusion of meaning. In recent years, in fashion as the dominant pre-wedding or post-shots, birth photos, couples engaged and knowledgeable in this trade because they want to preserve their relationship by people who are not shooting outside the studio environment to shoot only under natural conditions is called documentary photography.

By wandering from street to street with a bag full of equipment that caught his eye tissue, installations, or pulling objects so placed them after the photographer according to him, to be brought into a meaningful whole. In this way, the people who taking pictures can call themselves a documentary photographer. Some journals do a photo shoot like this with people who also conducts an interview under the name of documentary photography. Therefore, the photo does not know or no consideration of the documentary photography for beginners consists of a belief that in this way. Photographers and publications related to this error without knowing who falls into the young generation follow. However, this is a very misleading idea. A person's eye and needs to have the foresight to train for documentary photography. Must know the city quite well before increasingly make discoveries and photographed the sights.

Özet

Fotoğrafın geçmişinden günümüze kadar olan gelişimine baktığımızda her zaman belgelemek ve kayıt altına almak arzusunun yattığını görmekteyiz. Bunun başlangıcı portrelerle olmuştur. Bu yüzden portrelerin ilk kayıtlı belgeler olduğunu söylemek yanlış olmaz. Teknolojinin gelişmesi ve kompakt makinelerin çıkmasıyla birlikte belgeleme isteği belirli mekânların dışına taşmıştır. Bu sayede sadece portre değil, insanlık, doğa, yaşam, şehirler, sevinçler, hüzünler ve hatta savaş, fotoğrafçıların büyük gayretleriyle fotoğraflanarak kayıt altına alınmaya başlanmıştır.

Avrupa ve Amerika’da uzun zamandır süregelen ve belli bir felsefeye oturtulmuş olan belgesel fotoğrafçılığı ülkemizde daha çok yenidir. Bu yüzden de anlam karmaşası içinde bocalamaktadır. Son yıllarda moda olarak yaygınlaşan düğün öncesi veya sonrası çekimler, doğum anı fotoğrafları, çiftlerin birlikteliklerini ölümsüzleştirmek istedikleri için yapılan çekimler de bu işin ticaretini yapan ve konuya hâkim olmayan insanlar tarafından, sadece stüdyo ortamı dışında doğal koşullar altında çekim yapıldığı için belgesel fotoğrafçılık olarak adlandırılmaktadır.

Bir çanta dolusu ekipman ile birlikte sokak sokak gezerek gözüne çarpan dokuları, yerleştirmeleri ya da öylesine koyulmuş nesneleri çekerek sonradan bunları fotoğrafçının kendisine göre anlamlı bir bütün haline getirilmesi durumu söz konusudur. Bu şekilde fotoğraf çekenler de kendilerini belgesel fotoğrafçısı olarak adlandırmaktadırlar. Bazı dergiler de bu şekilde fotoğraf çekimi yapan insanlarla belgesel fotoğrafçılığı adı altında röportaj gerçekleştirmektedir. Dolayısıyla fotoğrafı hiç bilmeyenlerin ya da yeni başlayanların gözünde belgesel fotoğrafçılığının bu şekilde olduğuna dair bir kanı oluşmaktadır. Fotoğrafçıları ve konu ile ilgili yayınları takip eden genç nesil ise bilmeden bu hatanın içine düşmektedir. Oysaki bu çok yanıltıcı bir düşüncedir. Belgesel fotoğrafçılığı için kişinin gözünü eğitmesi ve öngörü sahibi olması gerekmektedir. Fotoğrafı çekilecek mekanlara daha önce giderek keşifler yapmalı ve şehri iyi tanımalıdır.
